Peterbilt 536 for sale in BC
Class 6 medium-duty conventional for pickup and delivery
Overview
The Peterbilt Model 536 is a Class 6 medium-duty conventional built for non-CDL pickup-and-delivery work at up to 26,000 lb GVWR. A wide aluminum cab, ergonomic interior, 107" or 109" hood and the VMUX multiplex electrical system make it easy to drive, easy to body and easy to keep working. PACCAR PX-7 and PX-9 engines are offered, with CNG available.
Built for British Columbia
In British Columbia the 536 is the truck behind the daily grind: parcel and beverage routes through Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond, dry-van and reefer delivery out of Surrey and Delta distribution centres, and non-CDL fleets that need a driver in the seat without a Class 1 licence. The narrow-lane manoeuvrability and tight turning circle matter on Lower Mainland loading docks and older Interior downtown streets in Kamloops and Kelowna.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a commercial licence to drive a Peterbilt 536?
The 536 is purpose-built for non-CDL applications at up to 26,000 lb GVWR. Licence class is set by the completed build and the load you carry, not by the chassis, so confirm the class for your specific build with ICBC: body weight and towing change the answer.
What engines are available in the 536?
PACCAR PX-7 and PX-9, with ratings from 200 to 380 hp and 520 to 1,250 lb-ft of torque depending on the engine and calibration chosen. CNG is also available. We spec the rating to the body, the route grades and the payload rather than to a horsepower number.
What bodies can be mounted on a 536?
Dry van, refrigerated, flat deck, service, landscape, utility and light tow bodies are all common. Factory body-builder wiring, PTO provisions and frame options are engineered in, so a BC body shop can complete the truck without cutting into the chassis electrical system.
Is there an electric version of the 536?
Yes. The 536EV is the battery-electric version of the same platform, engineered for pickup-and-delivery and regional routes that return to a depot. It uses the same body interfaces as the diesel.
Where in BC can I service a 536?
Every full-service Peterbilt Pacific branch supports medium duty, including Surrey, Delta, Abbotsford, Nanaimo, Kamloops, Kelowna and Prince George, the same network and parts availability as our Class 8 customers.
