Peterbilt 537 for sale in BC
Class 7 medium-duty truck or tractor for vocational work
Overview
The Peterbilt Model 537 is a Class 7 medium-duty conventional, available as a truck or a tractor with a GVWR up to 33,000 lb. It shares the wide aluminum cab, VMUX electrical system and 107" or 109" hood with the rest of the medium-duty range, and is configured for service and maintenance, towing, dump and pickup-and-delivery work. PACCAR PX-7 and PX-9 engines are offered, with CNG available.
Built for British Columbia
The 537 is the natural size for BC municipal and utility fleets: sign and signals trucks for cities in Metro Vancouver, hydro and telecom bucket bodies through the Fraser Valley, landscaping and irrigation crews in Kelowna and Vernon, and medium-duty wreckers working the Coquihalla and Highway 1 corridors. Contractors also spec it as a tandem or single-axle dump for tight urban sites where a Class 8 truck cannot turn.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Peterbilt 537 used for?
Service and maintenance bodies, towing and recovery, dump, and pickup-and-delivery. It is the Class 7 answer for work that is too heavy for a 536 and does not need a Class 8 chassis.
Can the 537 pull a trailer?
Yes. The 537 is offered as a tractor as well as a straight truck, so it can be spec'd with a fifth wheel for towing within its Class 7 ratings, a common configuration for equipment-moving and yard work.
What is the maximum GVWR of the 537?
Up to 33,000 lb. Front axles are rated from 8,000 to 13,200 lb and rear axles from 17,000 to 25,000 lb, so the usable rating depends on the axles, suspension and tires in your build.
Is the 537 available as an electric truck?
Yes. The 537EV is the battery-electric version, engineered for vocational duty cycles that return to a depot to charge.
Can Peterbilt Pacific arrange the body?
Yes. We coordinate with BC body builders on dump, service, utility, tow and van bodies, and we can quote the completed truck rather than a bare chassis.
